Sverdrup Steel has strengthened its stock position on ISS coils in stainless steel to support expected activity at several Norwegian land facilities. The initiative follows both ongoing project demand and newly awarded framework agreements within the industry.
In recent months we have supplied ISS coils in AISI 316L / EN 1.4404 with a 2D finish for insulation work on the Aker BP Yggdrasil project. This material, known for its stable corrosion resistance and suitability for demanding environments, continues to be a preferred choice across the energy and process industries.
Around the same period Equinor announced new framework agreements for insulation, scaffolding and surface treatment (ISS) at its major onshore facilities. The agreements cover Hammerfest LNG, Kårstø, Mongstad, Tjeldbergodden and Øygarden, with several established contractors assigned to execute the work.
To align with the increasing market activity, Sverdrup Steel has increased stock levels of ISS coils and is prepared to support these sites with reliable availability and certified quality, should they require supply.
