Sverdrup Steel is strengthening its presence in Germany

Sverdrup Steel now hold a vast stock range of coil, plate and round bar throughout Europe and in Korea. This along with our highly qualified metallurgists, knowledgeable sales team and our strong supply chain partners has made us a global provider within the special steel grades segment.

Sverdrup Steel is winning more business from our existing customers and rapidly winning the trust of new customers all over the globe. Becoming the preferred partner for a large number of customers for special steel grades material.

Germany is an important market for us in Europe. We have built a strong stock of coil and plate in Burg over the last few years. This allows us in partnership with ESC Burg to deliver cut to length plates, standard formats and a range of profiles on short delivery times. Logistically Burg is in a strong geographical position as it has easy access to transport by road, air and sea.

In 2019 we are increasing the volumes of stock at this location. The alloys we stock in Burg are: LDX 2101, EDX 2304, Duplex 1.4462, Super Duplex 1.4410, 6Mo 1.4547 and Nickel Alloy 31.

This increase is based on the positive response we have had in the German market.

says Sales Director Export, Mr Erik Sandell. It is Mr. Sandell who is heading up Sverdrup Steels international expansion and the strategy that has been defined.

Sverdrup Steels growth has been achieved through building sustainable organic growth, increased stock levels as well as the competence of our sales and metallurgical teams.

Sverdrup Steel is looking to add to our team with someone who has experience in our product range and knowledge of end users in the German market.

This employee will be responsible for meeting our strategy and achieving the goals and objectives for the German end user market.

We will introduce them to the Sverdrup Steel values and our way of conducting sales. We will agree a time line for when milestones should be reached.
