  How will we get there?

  • Every employee and every business partner to comply to our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
  • Ensure that we and our suppliers do not supply Conflict Minerals.
  • Good and safe working conditions, employment acc. governing legislation.
  • Decent wage conditions and wage growth in line with economic growth in society, equal pay for equal work.

  • Employees Representative elected by the employees.
  • Good insurance and pension agreements for all employees that contribute to fundamental financial security.

  • Transport Act for drivers (against social dumping). Ensure that the working conditions and wages related to transport of goods are in accordance with the current general regulations for transport companies.

• 9 - Industry, innovation and infrastructure

  How will we get there?

  Throughout the industry, the focus is on reducing CO2 emissions to a minimum. We have a task in helping our customers achieving this.

  • Our products 100% recyclable, efficient, malleable, strong, and durable. – E.g. Duplex family
  • Cooperation for innovation and sustainable solutions together with our partners. – E.g. Circle Green stainless steel and our LD 24

  Goods transport is one of the most important elements in our business and has the largest impact on our total CO2 emissions.

  • That is why we cooperate with transport companies that has a visionary climate profile, either certified or in accordance with ISO 14001 or equivalent.
  • Main transport companies with climate profile.

  Minimize energy consumption and heating of buildings.

  • Preferably work towards LED light in warehouses and offices. All lights are switched off at the end of the working day.
  • Automatic Heat Control.
  • Automatic Ventilation control (Switched off after normal working hours).
  • Construction according to building regulations that address less need for heating.

• 12 - Responsible consumption and production

  Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

  How will we get there?

  Our objective is to use less products in our business-related activities and have a 100% sorting rate at all our locations. Our steel products are 100 % recyclable and lasts a lifetime.

  • Agreement with approved recycling companies, Stena Recycling, collecting our waste for recycling.
  • Recycle all steel grades.
  • Special waste: Reuse of cutting-oil in the production. Residual oil is collected in suitable containers to avoid spillage.
  • Sort separation of all waste to minimize mixed waste: Suitable containers for food, paper, cardboard, plastic.
  • Less use of chemicals and find chemicals with lowest possible environmental and health impact.

• 17 - Partnerships for the goals

  Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

  How will we get there?

  The environmental policy shall be adapted to the business activity and encompass the entire value chain.

  • Strategic and sound partnerships with suppliers who have clear sustainability goals and are certified or comply with e.g ISO 14001 (Environmental management system), ISO 50001 (Energy management) or equivalent.
