Meet Ingve, our new Technical Manager

To better support the technical demand, we are extending our technical team with a Technical Manager – Ingve Stangeland. Ingve has an extensive background as a metallurgist and is specialized in NORSOK, which makes him the perfect fit for our team.

Welcome to our team, Ingve! You are now a part of our team as Technical Manager. Can you tell us what your role will involve?

– Thank you, it’s great to be here. My most important role is to be a technical resource and support the sales team. I will also work with NORSOK, developing products, strategies, and more.

Steel is quite a niche. What drew you in this direction?

– I have always been interested in technical subjects, so I studied engineering with a major in materials. Since then, I have enjoyed my industry and the work I do.

It seems as if you dived straight into your path in (work)life! What part of your work do you enjoy the most?

– Hmm…I think that it is more the diversity of technical tasks – to support colleagues, clients and material manufacturers – that fits me well.

Except your work, what do you enjoy doing?

– I love to hike along Gandsfjorden, which I can see from my new office window. The Stavanger office has a fantastic view! And, of course, I love spending time with my daughters. This summer, we had a great time walking in the Dolomites.
