Knowing an alloy’s composition and grade enables suppliers and other responsible parties to match alloy specifications to their material certificates. A PMI test is required to determine the chemical composition of a metal or alloy. PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing is a non-destructive analysis of materials.
We usually PMI test material ourselves, but sometimes, customers require PMI tests done by an ISO 17025-accredited lab. In situations like these, our partner Quality Lab provides the PMI test.
