AISI 4330V MODIFIED
MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
AISI 4330 V is a chromium, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium high strength low alloyed steel suitable for downhole tools and drilling jars. It offers improved hardenability and the ability to achieve higher tensile strengths and impact.
Heat Treatment
Hardened at 840 to 870°C and tempered at 600°C.
Weldability
Better than AISI 4145, but still challenging.
