MATERIAL DESCRIPTION

The grade is developed from the standard 13Cr grade and offer enhanced mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. The low carbon improves weldability whilst maintaining the martensitic microstructure.

BGH s13Cr-110 ksi has been qualified according to NACE 0175-3 annex B and NORSOK M650. General hardness requirement is 32 HRC. From surface to 3mm below surface 33 HRC is qualified and approved.

Applications

Commonly used in the same area as AISI 4130, 4140 and 4145 but often in environment, which have a high content of sulfur.

Heat Treatment

Hardened and tempered.

Weldability

Moderate.
